Welcome to year two, History IB.

Link to the material from year 1.

My dear and respected collegue Stefan Håkansson, who obviously has no life outside school, (except time spent thinking on Panzer, German Beer and Bayern München) and has made full chronological notes on the entire Cold War (they are not complete yet according to the author).

The same authors ideas on Germany during the Cold War.

Cuban Missile Crisis

The end of the fifties and the very beginning of the sixties. Now complete.

Cuban Missile Crisis we used this exercise from activehistory.co.uk. Unfortunately the site is no longer for free.

But that wasn't enough, since you had no homework over the break I decided that we should study some documents on the Cuban Missile Crisis.

An exercise on these documents plus an exercise on comparing two related conflicts (Berlin Wall and Cuban Missile Crisis).

Vietnam War

Questions to the Vietnam War, could be used as a study guide too.

This site contains very good timelines over Cold War Policies. When you study the Vietnam War, click on LBJ and Nixon. From there you can link to Vietnam.

And a very good link to an overview of the entire war, with links to different subcategories, explanations, sources, bibliographies and eyewitness accounts. This site is much better than your book.

Links to Documents on the Vietnam War.

Out of these documents I have picked a few, some of these you got on paper last time.

My notes on "The World arround 1960" - mostly on the Sino-Soviet split.
