In
Traynor:
This book
should be used as an exercise book on this chapter, you should be able to solve
any of these tasks for the exam. If you find something in this book that is
unclear, consult Morris, me or ask for additional material.
Page 174 –
175 contains a good summary of political events surrounding the beginning of
the Weimar Republic. This will give you the background to why the Beer Hall
putsch was considered such a small deal.
Page 178 –
179 focuses on the Years of Stability until 1929. This is important, especially
in the perspective “What could have happened otherwise?” was there an
alternative to Hitler and the Nazis?
Pages 180 –
202 focuses on what happened after 1929. On these pages you can read about how
Hitler managed to become elected as Kansler of Germany, or to be closer to the
truth managed to convince the president to appoint him.
In
Morris:
Page 294 –

that the part on Weimar constitution gives some understanding in how Hitler
would be appointed Kansler.
Pages 298 –
302 answers the question “How successful was the Weimar Republic in stabilizing
the economy and restoring Germany’s reputation on the international stage?”. This
chapter is important in understanding why the collapse of the Weimar republic
opened up for radicalism.
Page 302 –

Page 306 –
