Mao’s China.

What we should study:

For Paper 1:

The emergence and development of the PRC, 1946 to 1964.

For Paper 2:

We study Mao since we do topic 3 the rise and rule of single party states. We have to do two Regions, that’s why we need Mao.

We should cover the following aspects of Mao:

q Origins of the single-party state.

q Establishing of the single-party state.

q Rule of the single-party state.

q Regional and global impact of the single-party state.

This is exactly the same as we have done with Stalin, Hitler and Mussolini.

For Paper 3:

We don’t need Mao here.
