Write an essay answering this question:

Why were the Native-Americans (Indians) excluded from democracy in the USA? You should study how the US deal with them from the founding of the state until the end of the 1800’s.

Try to answer some of these questions:

Was the exclusion intentional?

Were there differences in how the US dealt with different tribes/nations?

Were the native-americans considered Americans or part of a foreign state?

Were there economic reasons for the policies, did these change over time?
