Assignment USA.
Your job is
to create a written summary of one period in the American history, max 3
machine written pages. This written summary should be presented and explained
to your classmates, max 15 minutes.
If you
produce the written summary, you don’t have to make the oral presentation. The
whole group have to work with the assignment, those of you that make the oral
presentation will get IG if you only read out loud from the summary.

How to
write a summary:
q Focus around an important event.
q Explain why this event occurred.
q Use both long-term and short-term
explanations.
q Use structural explanations, such as
how this affected the middle class or the economy or the rulers etc.
q Explain what consequences the event
had on future events.
q Don’t drown in details such as names
or dates.
q Use a well structured disposition in
your summary:

How to make an oral presentation:
q It is strictly forbidden to read out
loud from a paper.
q You should have notes containing the
structure of your explanation. This can be taken from your summaries.
q You have to use the white board or
Overhead-projector, otherwise none will be able to take notes or learn
anything.
q We are lucky to be in Ka 26 so you
can use the computer.
q OH should be in points, never
smaller than 16 pt types.
q Your OH-pictures should be related
to your summaries, your class mates must be able to follow your presentations
on your summaries.
